Introduction to Beer

The story of beer is the story of humanity gathered in community … always has been, always will be.  Beer 101 is a fun and engaging opportunity to learn about the history of beer, brewing processes and rich diversity of beer styles and the people who love them.  We take an in-depth look (and smell and taste) of the beverage that gave birth to human civilization… you'll never drink beer the same way again.

Beer 201:  

All Hail Ales

Take a walk through everything Ale!  We dive into the  origins and styles, and there are a lot of them.  From English Ales to Stouts, Kolsch to Pale Ales, and Trippels to the wide variety of IPA's ... come prepared to learn about all of them.

Beer 301:  

Reinheitsgebot! Lagers

Lager!  It's time to learn more about our bottom-fermented beers!  Paul will take you through the in's and outs of all the popular lagers, from Marzen to Pilsner, Schwarzbier to Helles, the lager style is classic and is returning to favor globally.

Beer 401:  

Funky Fermentations

This experimental class will show you all the things that we can do with beer.  Take the journey to see what's possible in and what's up and coming for fermentation.
